The activity was opened by the Director of Traffic Security of Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Kingkin Winisuda and was followed by 25 traffic police personnels. Traffic Security Directorate of Central Sulawesi Regional said the activity was aimed to produce trainers that will train traffic police personnels to be qualified personnels in the field of traffic, and also to create security, safety and order, and smooth traffic (Kamseltimcar) for the road users.
The selection was carried out for two days using the interview method and continued with field practice materials. The Director of Traffic Security of Central Sulawesi Regional Police hopes, the selection is also a place to exchange information and a place to gather for police members.
“Later on, after this selection activity, those who meet the requirements will take part in a training centered at the Serpong Traffic Education Center. The total participants from all Regional Police is 250 persons. In the future each individual can be a pioneer in traffic safety, become a driver with character and obey the rules,” he explained.
Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Imelda Sitohang as the head of the examination team from the Police Traffic Corps of Indonesia National Police said this selection could be used to improve members’ ability and skskill . This activity is also to prepare human resources at the Safety Driving Center.
“We are preparing instructors or trainers, who will transform the driving skills as well as driving ethics and traffic rules. The hope is that before people take the exam at driving school centers, they must learn, who teach, well yes they are the trainers,” she concluded.
