Speaking at a leadership meeting at TNI Headquarters in East Jakarta, on Friday (31/1/2025), he highlighted the need for TNI tactics, personnel, and technology to keep pace with contemporary threats.
“We are moving away from traditional warfare. Now, with drones and AI, we can target individuals efficiently, even using kamikaze drones,” said Commander Agus, highlighting the evolution of military technology.
The modernization will extend across all branches of the TNI, including the Navy and Air Force, by upgrading defense equipment and weaponry.
Commander Agus also announced the recruitment of cyber experts from civilian sectors to bolster TNI’s cybersecurity capabilities, ensuring better protection against foreign cyber threats, according to antaranews.com.
