Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Surabaya. Surabaya City Sub-regional Police have detained a nightclub owner, suspected of forcing a student from SMAK Gloria 2 vocational high school to prostrate and bark like a dog.
East Java Police spokesperson Dirmanto said the decision to detain the suspect, identified as “I”, followed a three-hour interrogation on Thursday evening (14/11/2024).
“After questioning ‘I’ from sunset until just now, investigators deemed the examination complete and proceeded with detention,” he explained, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Before being taken into custody, ‘I’ underwent a medical checkup and was declared fit by a doctor. He was then escorted to the Surabaya Police Detention Center.
The suspect faces multiple charges under Article 80, Section 1 of the Child Protection Law and Article 335, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, which carry a maximum sentence of three years.
‘I’ was identified as a suspect after a viral video showed him allegedly forcing the student into humiliating acts. He later issued a public apology, addressing the victim, the school, and the public for the distress caused.
