The Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, is committed to accelerate vaccination for the community and reducing the spread of Covid-19. He showed the commitment by visiting mass vaccince held at Pertemuan Umum Plampang Tarung Building, City Mayor’s office, Palangka Raya, Saturday (05/22/21).

In the occassion, the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police was accompanied by Head of Operational Bureau Central Kalimantan Regional Police and High Rank Executives of Central Kalimantan Regional Police as well as attended by Regional Secretary of Central Kalimantan Province Fahrizal Fitri and Head of Health Agency Suyuti Syamsul.

The mass vaccination activity was attended by 19,294 people. The vaccine disributed was for 12,747 elderly, 6,507 for general public and for 40 polices, and distributed for 14 districts and one city in Central Kalimantan Province.

The Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police said with the mass vaccination, it is expected the herd immpunity is achieved, that people can be immune from Covid-19. The mass vaccine was not only held in Palangka Raya city, but also held in 126 points spread across 14 districts and one city in Central Kalimantan.

“Though there has been vaccination, it is hoped that the public will continue to carry out health protocols, wearing mask, maintaining distance, washing hands, avoiding crowds and limiting mobility,” as concluded by the Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police.
