On that occasion, the Head of Public Affairs of South Sulawesi Regional Police invited and asked intellectuals and religious leaders as well as the media to take part in providing their ideas in preventing crimes that have occurred recently.
“Yes, yesterday we were shocked by the case of a corpse being that was burned because of same-sex relations, and the burning of Indomaret convenience store by its own employees, of course this is our concern, to invite various groups to prevent something similar from happening in the future,” Head of Public Affairs of South Sulawesi Regional Police explained.
On that occasion, the Head of Public Affairs of South Sulawesi Regional Police also mentioned the role of community that is urged to eradicate thuggery in the jurisdiction of South Sulawesi. Currently police are intensively eradicating acts of thuggery according to the instructions of the Chief of Indonesia National Police and the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
“We need to cooperate with community leaders in South Sulawesi, to support the eradication of thugs, because eradicating thuggery depends also on the participation of community,” he explained.
Not only that, the Head of Public Affairs of South Sulawesi Regional Police also talked about how the Covid-19 pandemic cases in South Sulawesi were decreasing. Based on the data, until now the spread of Covid-19 in South Sulawesi has decreased so synergy and taking care of each other health are indeed required.
