East Ciputat Police Office Chief Senior Inspector Kemas Arifin, said on Tuesday (7/1/2025) that forensic analysis of victim AF’s (31) phone uncovered evidence of online loan apps, credit platforms, and gambling sites. He had been borrowing since 2023, using the funds for gambling.
In a desperate email to Bank Indonesia, he admitted struggling to repay his debts.
Police determined he killed his wife, identified as YL (28), by strangulation, followed by the murder of their three-year-old child, AAH. He then took his own life, according to antaranews.com.
Forensic examinations confirmed strangulation marks on YL and AAH, while AF died from self-inflicted injuries.
