Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Ngawi. Police as of now is still searching for the missing limb of a mutilated woman found inside a red suitcase in Kendal, Ngawi Regency, East Java.
The Head of Ngawi Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Senior Inspector Joshua Oeter Krisnawa says the missing body parts are the head, thigh-down left leg, and knee-dkwn right leg.
“As of now we are trying hard to uncover this case, both finding the missing limbs and the murderer,” says Joshua on Friday (1/24/2025).
His party also involve the East Java Regional Police General Criminal Investigation Directorate and all sub-regional police criminal investigation unit in the province to uncover the sterious murder case.
However, despite the police still searching for the missing limbs, they already have discovered the identity of the woman. Her name is Uswatun Khasanah, a woman born of Blitar on April 25th, 1995.
Police able to identify the body through her fingerprint and also the assistance of the Mobile Automatic Multi Biometric Identification System (MAMBIS) tool.
“Also helped with the identification from her family by looking at her psical characteristics, clothes, and accessories she wore when she was found,” says Joshua.
Further investigation will continue to be carried out to uncover the motive behind the killing
Police also appealed to the public to be wise in gathering the information about the mutilation in Ngawi as there are many uncertain news about the murder going around.
“Some say the woman is pregnant, but the fact is she is not. Thus, I want people to be wiser in using social media and respect our investigation process so we can catch the murderer and uncover this case completely,” Joshua says.
