South Kuta Police Chief Senior Inspector I Gusti Ngurah Yudistira confirmed on Thursday that the suspect, identified as Vitalis Smirnov, stole a Honda Beat motorcycle on 16 November 2024, at Honeymoon Beach in Jimbaran, South Kuta.
The police have handed over both the suspect and the stolen motorcycle as evidence to the Badung Prosecutor’s office for prosecution.
Chief Yudistira highlighted the police’s commitment to ensuring security in tourist areas and urged the public, including tourists, to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
Smirnov now faces criminal charges and is awaiting trial in the Badung District Court.
