Bid TIK Polda Kepri/”>Bid TIK Polda Kepri – South Tangerang. South Tangerang Sub-regional Police have arrested four suspects involved in a recent acid attack on a police officer in South Tangerang, Banten.
South Tangerang Police Chief Superintendent Victor Inkiriwang confirmed on Sunday (26/1/2025) that three primary suspects were arrested on 17 January 2025.
“We also identified another suspect who fled the scene and was declared a fugitive,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The attack occurred on 16 January 2025 during an operation to prevent a brawl between two rival groups on Jalan Cirendeu Raya street.
The suspects, identified as MH (19), HR (19), and F (19),, played various roles in the assault. Suspects MH and HR purchased and threw the acid on officer First Brigadier Ramos from East Ciputat Office, suspect F used a sharp weapon to attack the officer, and suspect R was involved in a related motorcycle theft.
The attack left Officer Ramos injured while attempting to disperse the groups
The suspects face charges under multiple articles of the Criminal Code, carrying a maximum penalty of nine years.
