One Assistant Coach to Focus on Regeneration: PSSI

Bid TIK Polda Kepri/”>Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) announced that one assistant coach for the Indonesian national football team will focus on player regeneration, particularly in youth teams.

“There will be an assistant dedicated to regeneration, potentially working with youth squads. This has yet to be confirmed, and Coach Patrick Kluivert will make the official announcement,” PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir said on Sunday (19/1/2025) as quoted by antaranews.com.

Currently, two Dutch assistant coaches, Alex Pastoor and Denny Landzaat, have been appointed to the national team. Two more Indonesian coaches will join the staff, alongside Coach Kluivert.

Chairman Erick also said that an additional assistant coach will work closely with the U-17, U-20, U-23, and senior teams.

He noted that the new assistant coach could be announced before the PSSI Technical Director, expected by the end of February 2025.
