Bid TIK Polda Kepri/”>Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. Three footballers, Ole Romeny, Tim Geypens, and Dion Markx, are now officially Indonesian citizens after taking the oath of allegiance in a ceremony led by Minister of Law and Human Rights Supratman Andi Agtas in London, the United Kingdom, on Saturday (8/2/2025).
Minister Supratman emphasized that naturalization is more than just a change of nationality—it is a strategic move to strengthen Indonesia’s national football team.
“This is not just about citizenship status but a step toward advancing Indonesian sports,” he said in a statement as quoted by antaranews.com.
The naturalization process follows Law No. 12 of 2006 on Citizenship and includes a thorough evaluation by TP3K, a special committee involving government and sports organizations.
With these new additions, Indonesia aims to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026, AFC Asian Cup 2027, and improve its FIFA ranking into the top 100.
