Megawati Ranks Third Among Top Scorers in South Korea Volleyball League

According to the official rankings from the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) on Thursday (2/1/2025), she has scored an impressive 404 points. She trails Suwon undai E&C Hillstate’s Leitizia Moma Basoko, who has 405 points, and IBK Altos’ Victoria Danchak, who leads with 455 points.

Megawati’s performance has been key in Red Sparks’ campaign, including an eight-match winning streak. On Tuesday, the Jember-born athlete led her team to a decisive 3-0 victory over IBK Altos.

KOVO also named Megawati the Best Player of the third round, with a remarkable contribution of 155 points. Her standout performance included a game-high 18 points, outshining her teammates Bukitrich (14 points) and Seungju Pyo (6 points), according to antaranews.com.

With a 36.9% attack share and a 54.84% success rate, Megawati leads the league in both categories. Her efforts have propelled Red Sparks to 34 points in the standings, narrowing the gap with second-place Suwon undai E&C Hillstate (41 points) and league leaders Pink Spiders (43 points).
