Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. Minister of Manpower Yassierli announced that the Ministry of Manpower will soon release a regulation on the 6.5% increase in the national minimum wage for 2025.

“We aim to finalize it soon, hopefully by Wednesday (December 4),” he said after a meeting with President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace on Friday (29/11/2024).

The meeting addressed the national minimum wage increase as an important social safety net for workers, particularly those employed for less than 12 months.

Minister Yassierli confirmed that the policy, which had been conceptually outlined by President Prabowo, will be detailed in the forthcoming regulation, according to antaranews.com.

Regarding sectoral minimum wages, he said that these will be decided by the Provincial, City, and Regency Wage Councils, in line with a Constitutional Court ruling.

The Minister also clarified that the 6.5% increase was a decision based on extensive consultations with various stakeholders, including labor groups. He emphasized the importance of public support for the timely implementation of this policy.
