Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, the Commander of Operation Damai Cartenz Task Force, said on Friday (18/10/2024) that Yogi was taken to Timika under heavy guard by officers from the Damai Cartenz Task Force before being flown to Jayapura,

Yogi, who also serves as the Chief of Staff of the West Papua Ar’s (WPA) Division II, was arrested on Wednesday during a journey from Nabire to Paniai in Central Papua. He was arrested near the Dogiyai Regency Legislative Council office.

He was caught with 104 rounds of ammunition of various calibers. The confiscated ammunition included 56 rounds of 5.56 mm and 48 rounds of 7.62 mm. 

Yogi has also been implicated in a 2015 firearm theft case and a recent firefight with the Indonesian Military (TNI) in Bibida District, Paniai, in May.
