Bid TIK Polda Kepri/”>Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. State-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) recorded 3.67 million train tickets sold for long-distance and local travel during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holiday period, from 19 December 2024, to 5 January 2025.
“Passenger flow remains high, and popular trains have exceeded 100% occupancy due to dynamic boarding between stations,” said Anne Purba, PT KAI’s Vice President of Public Relations, on Sunday (5/1/2025).
As of 5 January 2025, PT KAI has transported 3.5 million passengers across Java and Sumatra. Long-distance trains accounted for 2.98 million tickets (107% occupancy), while local trains business, and Rp2,000/kg for econo.
Popular trains include KA Airlangga, KA Joglosemarkerto, and KA Matarmaja, among others, with ticket availability varying by train type.
