Bid TIK Polda Kepri/”>Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, has urged Civil Service Police, better known locally as Satpol PP, across the nation to help secure industrial zones from premanism—a form of gang-related activity that disrupts business operations.

Speaking in Jakarta on Monday (17/2/2025), the minister emphasized that combating these disruptions requires a collaborative approach between government agencies and local authorities.

“We hope Satpol PP will actively intervene to protect these industrial zones, ensuring a safe and conducive environment for investment,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Premanism, which can be perpetrated by groups claiming affiliation with community organizations or by individuals seeking to extort companies, is undermining investor confidence in key industrial areas such as Bekasi, Karawang, East Java, and Batam.

Reports from the Indonesian Industrial Complex Association (Himpunan Kawasan Industri Indonesia) indicate that premanism has led to losses amounting to trillions of rupiah, with canceled investments and departing investors.

The minister urged firm action to restore order and secure Indonesia’s industrial future.
