Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta.  The National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol has been communicating with Interpol Beijing to extradite Yan Zhenxing (YZ), a  Chinese fugitive wanted for running an online gambling operation.

“We have contacted Interpol Beijing to finalize the extradition of this suspect, as YZ is on their wanted list,” said Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko, the Secretary of NCB Interpol Indonesia, during a press conference on Thursday (5/12/2024).

YZ was detained by Batam Immigration on 2 December 2024, and handed over to Interpol Indonesia by the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections earlier that day.

The suspect allegedly operated “Makau Zianja,” an online gambling site that defrauded Chinese citizens of 130 million yuan (approximately USD 18 million).

“This underscores Indonesia’s firm commitment to preventing the country from becoming a safe haven for international fugitives and transnational criminals,” Chief Untung said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He also praised the effective collaboration between Indonesia’s Immigration Directorate General and NCB Interpol Indonesia, noting that this partnership has successfully tackled multiple international cases.
