Indonesia and India Forge a New Era of Cooperation: President Prabowo Subianto

“This marks a new chapter to enhance and solidify Indonesia-India collaboration,” he said during an official statement alongside Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday (25/1/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

President Prabowo highlighted the longstanding ties between the two nations. He invited Indian investment, particularly in infrastructure, pledging to streamline bureaucracy and personally oversee project facilitation if needed.

Prime Minister Modi expressed optimism about advancing bilateral collaboration in defense manufacturing, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence.

The two leaders also exchanged signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) covering telecommunications, healthcare, maritime security, defense, cultural exchange, and business partnerships.

President Prabowo is scheduled to attend India’s Republic Day celebrations on Sunday as the Chief Guest.
