Bid TIK Polda Kepri Bali Regional Police received the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) visit from the United States Embassy. During the visit, the Chief of Bali Regional Police, Inspector General Pol. Putu Jayaan Danu Putra, accompanied by the Bali Regional Police officers, received the visit from INL of the United States Embassy team led by Kristen Gross as INL Program and Grants Manager.

The Chief of Bali Regional Police explained that the purpose of the visit of the INL of the United States Embassy was in the context of cooperation.

“Besides handling narcotics, it is also to fight criminal cases, especially related to protecting children from cyber crimes,” the Chief of Bali Regional Police said, Tuesday (6/15).

INL and the Bali Regional Police expect to intensify the fight against criminal cases related to crimes against a child. Child protection needs to get more concerned by related parties.

In the meeting, Kristen Gross said her team wanted to come and meet directly with the Bali Regional Police since the beginning of this year, but due to pandemic, the meeting was postponed. However, at last, the meeting was finally conducted on Monday, June 14, 2021.

In the meeting, besides discussing cybercrime, she also discussed how to conduct the training.

“Her side, in this matter, is also ready to assist the training related to the child protection in term of cybercrimes,” the Chief of Bali Regional Police added.

Police Inspector General I Putu Jayan Danu Putra added if his staff welcomed the collaboration. He had already prepared personnel to carry out this task.

Even to prepare everything thoroughly, the Bali Regional Police has also prepared a building with the necessary facilities in dealing with violence against children and women.

“Several personnel have been prepared to participate in investigator training related to the child protection against cyber-crime. The Bali Regional Police also has the facility to handle the crimes,” Chief of Bali Regional Police concluded.
