Gunawan Sadbor Appointed Anti-Online Gambling Ambassador after Arrest

Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo announced that TikTok influencer Gunawan Sadbor, initially detained for allegedly promoting an online gambling site, has been appointed as an anti-online gambling ambassador.

“Gunawan Sadbor’s detention is currently suspended, and we’ve appointed him as an ambassador for anti-online gambling,” he said during a meeting with the House of Representatives (DPR)’s Commission III  on Monday (11/11/2024).

Chief Sigit explained that the decision follows public questions surrounding Gunawan’s arrest. He emphasized that police action remains unbiased, noting that two other suspects involved in Gunawan’s case were also detained, according to antaranews.com.

The Sukabumi Sub-regional Police previously revealed Gunawan’s involvement in promoting the online gambling site “flokitoto” on his TikTok account, @sadbor86. Sukabumi Police Chief Samian reported that Gunawan used his account for livestreams promoting the site, acting in collaboration with main suspect AS, who organized the campaign.

The case was uncovered after community complaints, with the Sukabumi Police Cyber Patrol closely monitoring Gunawan’s online activities before making arrests.
