Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. Indonesian golfer Randy Arbenata M Bintang won the championship at the Korean National Festival of Sport in South Korea, according to the Indonesian Golf Association (PB PGI).

“Randy won the title with a score of 14 under par, an impressive feat in such a major tournament,” said Adi Saksono, theHead of Championships and Achievements at PB PGI,  on Saturday (19/10/2024).

Randy, who was vacationing in South Korea, entered the tournament without any special preparation. The event attracted 28,000 athletes from across South Korea, with Randy competing in the Korean Golf International Competition category, according to antaranews.com.

Adi highlighted that Randy’s victory is particularly significant given South Korea’s strong golf tradition. His victory follows his earlier disappointment at the Asian Pacific Amateur Championship in Japan, where despite leading the first two rounds, Randy underperformed in the third round due to rain.

“This victory in South Korea is a great morale boost and will encourage him to continue striving for future success,” Adi added, as quoted by antaranews.com.
