Eid Backflow Anticipation, Regional Police of Greater Jakarta Cooperate with Indonesian National Disaster

Metropolitan Greater Jakarta Regional Police, Police Inspector General Fadil Imran, mentioned the police would collaborate with the Indonesian National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) and the provincial government to handle Eid backflow anticipation. He mentioned it during the doorstop session after the Coordination Meeting for Eid 2021 Backflow that was held among . Metropolitan Greater Jakarta Regional Police, Jakarta Regional Military Command (Kodam Jaya), Indonesian Fleet Command of Navy West Region (Koarmada I TNI AL), and Operation Commander Indonesian National Armed Forces (Pangkoops TNI) at Indonesian National Police Meeting Hall (11 May 2021).

“To anticipate Eid backflow, there are several points we have agreed such as collaboration with BNPB and Jakarta Provincial Government and other regional government to strengthen airport, bus terminal, seaport and rest area that will be used after the eid,” as mentioned by Fadil Imran.

“We, Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police, held the coordination meeting to anticipate Eid backflow. Based on the evaluation, the number of homecomer through land transportation, train, and air transportation would be before 6 May (May 1-5, 2021), and the people who insist on coming home such as in Kedung Waringin and highway, Jakarta people who would go out of Jakarta are estimated around 1.2 million people,” as mentioned by the two-star general.
