Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. The Ministry of Migrant Worker Protection has confirmed that efforts to repatriate Indonesian citizens working in overseas online gambling networks are ongoing.

“Primarily, we focus on bringing back those who have already been caught up in these networks,” said Deputy Minister of Migrant Worker Protection Dzulfikar Ahmadi Tawalla on Thursday (21/11/2024).

Many Indonesians are lured abroad with promises of high earnings, only to end up working as administrators for online gambling operations. The majority of reports have come from Cambodia and anmar.

Dzulfikar added that most of these workers travel illegally, with the government learning of their whereabouts only when they reach out for help from Indonesia.
