menggeliat, terutama sektor pariwisata.
“Kita

“We can see that the most affected are hotels and restaurants with low visit rate,” he added.
Second, besides the tourism industry in general, Batam’s creative economy is the focus of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. He continued, the creative industry is growing because it is close to the center of world growth, they are Singapore and Malaysia, so it needs to be maintained.
“I know Batam very well, my first attempt as a businessman in Batam and feel nostalgic every time I come here. Batam has tremendous potential,” he explained.
Sandiaga also revealed, what the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will implement in Batam, which is actually border tourism. According to him, the first key is to ensure that this health situation must be managed strictly and discipline, besides starting planning stimulus programs so the tourism and the creative economy will always rise.
“If Batam can get transmission rates that continue to decline and zero community infection, maybe we can implement the border tourism as the second or third entry gate after Bali,” he said.
