In his farewell message posted on his social media account on Saturay (11/1/2025), he thanked PSSI, particularly its Chairman Erick Thohir, for the support that helped the team reach new heights. He also expressed his appreciation for the players and coaching staff who worked tirelessly to achieve the best results for the national team.
Coach Shin also extended his gratitude to the players and coaching staff for their dedication, even in the face of difficult circumstances. He conveyed his hopes for the future, wishing the team success in future matches and a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
“I will never forget the love and support I received from the Indonesian people during nearly five years as coach,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
During his tenure, Coach Shin helped Indonesia achieve significant milestones, including qualifying for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, reaching the semifinals of the 2023 AFC U-23 Championship, and advancing to the third round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
