“Until tonight, Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 20.00 local time, no significant reports from the Departmental Police headquarters. However, Police personnel are asked to stay vigilant”, Police Inspector General Mathius D. Fakhiri said on Friday (16/07/21).

Chief of Papua Regional Police said that the conducive situation on Papua is inseparable from the participation of regional governments and public and religious figures, together with Armed Forces-Police, guarding their regions.

The two-star general said that it is hard to maintain a conducive public security and order situation without participation from all parties.

“I hope this condition could be maintained so that the people can have activities without fear”, the 1990 Class Graduate of Armed Forces Academy.
