Bid TIK Polda Kepri/”>Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said on Friday (14/2/2025) that budget efficiency measures for state universities must not lead to higher tuition fees  for students.

She clarified that cost-cutting efforts will focus solely on expenses related to meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE), including official travel, seminars, office supplies, and ceremonial events.

“These efficiency measures should not impact tuition fee decisions for the 2025-2026 academic year, which will be determined in June and July 2025,” Minister Sri Mulyani said at a press conference, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The government will conduct a detailed review of state universities operational budgets to ensure that financial adjustments do not affect student costs while allowing universities to fulfill their academic and public service duties.
