“Based on witness statements and evidence, he has been declared a suspect,” said Bali Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ariasandy on Saturday (15/2/2025). 

The suspect, identified as MR (28), is now detained at Bali Police headquarters, according to antaranews.com.

The incident on February 11, 2025, began when suspect MR was removed from the club for causing a disturbance. Unwilling to leave, he argued with security, leading to a psical altercation. Both sides filed police reports—Finns Beach Club’s Head of Security reported suspect MR to Bali Police, while suspect MR filed a complaint at Badung Sub-regional Police.

Badung Police have questioned four witnesses and plan to interview 11 more on Monday. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral, drawing public attention.
