Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Papua. Papua Regional Police have mapped areas with high conflict potential following the Constitutional Court (MK) ruling regarding the regional head election dispute in the Papua Mountains and Central Papua Provinces.
Head of Papua Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Petrus Patrige Rudolf Renwarin states that his ranks of intelligence have developed their analysis regarding potential threats following the MK ruling.
“We already did the preparations and our approach will prioritize preventive effort by getting closer with the supporters of both gubernatorial election pairs,” says Petrus on Sunday (1/11/2025).
On this occasion, he also added that his party was building communication with each candidate, especially in areas with high potential for conflict.
He emphasized that the Papua Regional Police will continue to approach various parties to prevent conflicts in every district/city in Central Papua and Papua Mountains.
Meanwhile, for Papua and South Papua Regional Police, Patrige says that he will deploy some of his units in the area.
Patrige says that considering supporters and candidates in Papua and South Papua are influential figures, he is sure that they will protect their respective good names.
