Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jayapura. Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani, the Head of Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force, announced on Sunday (20/10/2024) the arrest of Maais Herlik Imburi (44), an ammunition supplier to the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Jem Magai Yogi.
HIs arrest took place in Nabire, Central Papua, on Saturday.
Imburi’s arrest followed an intensive investigation of Jem, who was apprehended earlier with 104 rounds of ammunition. Jem, the Chief of Staff of the Ar Division of WPA Divisi II Pemka IV Paniai, was caught on Wednesday while traveling from Nabire to Paniai.
During the arrest, 55 rounds of various ammunition calibers were seized, including 5.56 mm and 38 mm bullets, and PCP air rifle pellets.
The origin of the ammunition remains under investigation.
“The investigation is ongoing to determine where the ammunition came from,” said Chief Faizal, as quoted by antaranews.com.
