According to him, this is a positive achievement that shows the seriousness of the Police in eradicating drugs to the roots.
“I would like to congratulate Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police for being able to uncover the Middle East network drug transactions with an enormous number, which reached more than a thousand tons,” as explained by the Vice Chairperson of Commission III of the Indonesia House of Representative in his statement.
“This is an achievement that deserves two thumbs up, considering the number that is so large, and of course it will be very dangerous if it gets circulated in the community,” he continued.
The Vice Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesia House of Representative also mentioned, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mandated to continue disclosing and resolving to the roots in terms of drug trafficking problem and other law violations.
In addition, he also reminded along with the increasingly efforts of foreign drug smugglers to the country, the police need to continue to improve their performance and vigilance in order to prevent drug trafficking.
“Furthermore, the police need to keep fighting, don’t be careless, rehabilitate the victims, and keep chasing the drug dealer. We at Commission III always support the police to eliminate drugs from Indonesia,” he concluded.
As is known, on Monday (06/14/21), the Indonesia National Police released the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan police and Central Jakarta Metro Resort Police dismantled an international drug syndicate by seizing 1,129 tons of crystal methamphetamine.
In a press conference at the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters in Jakarta, the Chief of Indonesia National Police explained the evidence was confiscated during disclosures at four locations, i.e. Mount Sindur, Bogor, West Java, Pasar Modern Shophouse in Bekasi Town Square, Bekasi, West Java, and Basura Apartment in East Jakarta and Green Pramuka Apartment, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.
