Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. South Kalimantan’s men’s volleyball team won a 3-1 victory over Lampung in the first match of Group B’s top 16 at the 2024 Indonesian National Police  (INP) Chief  Kapolri Cup held at GOR Bulungan stadium, South Jakarta, on Thursday (26/9/2024).

“We dominated in almost every aspect—receive, attack. Our only concern is defense, which we need to refine since the next matches will be tougher,” South Kalimantan’s coach, Udi Hermanto, said, as quoted by antaranews.com

South Kalimantan won the first set 25-17, but Lampung struck back in the second set, winning 25-22. The team then adjusted their strategy and captured the third and fourth sets, 25-19 and 25-20, respectively.

“Lampung has improved significantly, which is w they managed to take a set from us,” Udi acknowledged.

South Kalimantan will face Jambi next.

In the women’s category, defending champions West Kalimantan secured a spot in the final round after defeating Central Sulawesi 25-23, 25-20, 13-25, 25-18.
