Bid TIK Polda Kepri/”>Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati has said that the Presidential Instruction No. 1/2025 on budget efficiency will stimulate economic growth, with the free nutritious meals program serving as a prime example.
In a press briefing on Friday (24/1/2025), she explained that the directive, initiated by President Prabowo Subianto, aims to reallocate government funds toward high-impact programs, including MBG, which will boost local production and employment.
“If the supply chain—from vegetables to meat—is sourced from local producers, it will stimulate local economic growth,” the minister said, as reported by antaranews.com.
The directive also calls for reducing unnecessary spending, such as on ceremonial events, and redirecting the savings to more productive sectors.
The government is targeting a budget efficiency of Rp 306.69 trillion from the 2025 state and regional budgets, with the full report due by 14 February 2025.
