Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto has reassigned 101 senior officers, including the heads of The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), in a significant reshuffle that includes retirements, promotions, and strategic realignments.
Lieutenant General Nugroho Sulistyo Budi, recently serving as BSSN Chief, was reassigned to TNI Headquarters in preparation for retirement.
His successor is yet to be announced. Similarly, Air Marshal Kusworo, former Basarnas Chief, has retired, with Deputy Air Marshal Mohammad Syafii promoted to fill the role.
“The reshuffle reflects organizational renewal and strategic alignment,” said TNI Headquarter Head of Information Center, Major General Hariyanto, as quoted by antaranews.com, on Sunday (5/1/2025).
Brigadier General Ari Yulianto has been appointed Deputy for Geostrategy at the National Defense Council. Other key changes include new roles for senior officers in the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas), the Ar Strategic Reserce Command (Kostrad), and regional military commands.
