Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. In promoting the cultural potential of East Java, the East Java Regional Police held the 2025 Running Fest in four cities. The event upholds the concept of tetralogy which are held in Banyuwangi, Kediri, Madiun, and Surabaya.
Bagus Ramadhani, as the chairman of the event committee, explained that the East Java Running Fest is not only a sports event, but also an effort to promote cultural and tourism potential in the host cities, including Kediri.
“Kediri has their values, both in terms of culture and the number of extraordinary runners. This city has great potential in recruiting student athletes from East Java,” Bagus said in a press conference at Memorial Park on Friday (1/10/2025).
The event is open to masters, general, and students (ages 11-17). Runners can choose between 5 km and 10 km routes, while participants who want to go for a fun walk can participate in the event of walking over 2-3 km.
The registration fee for the general category is IDR 225 thousand for 5 km and IDR 250 thousand for 10 km, including jersey and medal. Meanwhile, the student category is only charged IDR 100 thousand.
“The message from the Regional Police Chief is for us to open the student category with the aim of finding potential athletes in East Java,” he explained.
East Java Running Fest in Kediri is expected to be an event to promote local culture with runners capturing the moment while also finding potential young athletes.
