Bid TIK Polda Kepri/”>Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Batam. The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore has confirmed that Paulus Tannos, a fugitive in the electronic ID card corruption case, is currently detained at Changi Prison following a provisional arrest order.

Ambassador Suryo Pratomo said that Tannos, also known as Thian Po Tjhin, was detained under the Indonesia-Singapore extradition treaty.

“On 17 January 2025, a Singapore court approved the provisional arrest request, and Tannos was transferred to Changi Prison,” he explained on Saturday (25/1/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

The detention was facilitated through Singapore’s legal framework, with the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) presenting Tannos in court.

The embassy clarified that Tannos was not detained directly by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) but through a collaborative legal process.

“His case is now under Singapore’s jurisdiction, and we respect CPIB’s discretion regarding further details,” Ambassador Suryo said, noting the ongoing legal process is crucial for justice.
