INP Corruption Eradication Corps Join in the Investigation of Sea Fence

Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. The Corruption Eradication Corps of Indonesian National Police (INP) came down to directly investigate the allegation of corruption in the issuance of SHGB (Building Use Rights Certificate) and SHM (Ownership Rights Certificate) documents for Tangerang sea fences.

Head of the corps, Inspector General Caono Wibowo says that his party began the investigation following the case report from the INP General Criminal Investigation Directorate. 

A discussion with the INP Criminal Investigation Agency led to the conclusion that there may be corruption in the case.

“Yesterday we received a letter from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate which explains that there is a possibility of corruption. We were also invited for a discussion and we did find the fact of the crime as we are now investigating the case,” explains Caono on Thursday (2/13/2025).

In the investigation process, police will summon the Kohod Village Chief for further examination.
