Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jambi. Five people who assaulted a member of Jambi Regional Police Mobile Brigade Police have been arrested. The police member was said to be stabbed by the teenagers, suffering an injury in his back.
Jambi Sub-regional City Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Boy Sutan Binanga Siregar says that the police have successfully arrested the five suspects. They are IN (20) who stabbed the police, F (20) who hit the police, and WA (21), AK (24), and FY (21) who joined in the assault.
Currently the police is still hunting down another suspect with the initials of RR, who is said to have thrown stones at the police member.
The mentioned mobile brigade police member is Aji (28). He was injured on his back after getting stabbed when trying to break up a fight.
The incident occurred at one of the hotels in Jambi City Market on February 11, 2025 at 21.00 am. During that time, Aji was at the scene and saw a commotion.
Seeing the situation, he tried to help after heard a cry of help.
“He tried to help after he heard a cry of help. However, when he asked what happened to the six suspects, he was instead beaten up and stabbed at his back,” says Siregar on Monday (2/17/2025).
After hearing the news, police then deploy their team to search for the perpetrator and are able to arrest them in South Sumatra on Sunday (2/16/2025).
The suspects are now undergoing examinations as Aji’s health is recovering and ready to back on duty.
