Bid TIK Polda Kepri – South Sulawesi. The South Sulawesi Regional Police Drug Criminal Investigation has successfully uncovered three drug crimes throughout February 2025 with a total drug value of IDR 1.273 billion.
In February 2025, the South Sulawesi Regional Police Drug Criminal Investigation Directorate uncovered three cases of crystal methamphetamine trafficking with a total of 842 grams of evidence. The following are details of the cases that were successfully uncovered:
The first case revealed was on February 3, 2025, where the police successfully arrested two suspects, MG (25) and MJ (21), on Pabentengan, Mangasa Village, Tamalate District, Makassar City.
From the hands of the two suspects, the police secured 172.4528 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Both are now charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary to Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a minimum sentence of 5 years in prison and a maximum sentence of death.
The second case uncovering was on February 22, 2025 on Poros Baranti, Watang Pulu District, Sidrap Regency.
A suspect with the initials of AS (32) was arrested at the State Confiscated Goods Storage House.
In the arrest, police managed to seize a total of 143.9257 grams of crystal methamphetamine. He was also charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary to Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Narcotics Law.
The last drug case uncovering also occurred on the same day as the second case.
The police have arrested suspect AR (20) in Talorong Hamlet, Lombo Village, Pitu Riase District, Sidrap Regency.
From AR, police secured 9 grams of crystal methamphetamine as AR was charged under the same article with a similar threat of punishment.
In the press conference, police estimated that they have saved a total life of 7,894 from methamphetamine that they have secured.
