Banten Police Chief, Police Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho, said that starting today the Banten Regional Police will open cleft lip and cleft palate surgery for free at the hospital. Bhayangkara Polda Banten.
“In the framework of the Bhayangkara Anniversary and the 75th Anniversary of Police Medical Doctor, we held a humanitarian social service, namely free surgery for toddlers with cleft lip and cleft palate,” explained the Chief.
“Patient screening was carried out on June 14 and continued with the operation on June 14 – 15, 2021 at the Bhayangkara Regional Police Hospital Banten,” added the Chief.
Health of Medical and Health section, Banten Regional Police, Agung Widodo said that the requirements for cleft lip patients are patients who are at least 3 years old, weigh at least 5kg, and are generally healt as evidenced by the results of laboratory examinations and Covid-19 examinations.
“Meanwhile, patients with cleft palate, with the requirements for the patient to be at least 1 year old, have a minimum body weight of 10kg, and are generally healt,” explained the Head of Medical and Health Section (Kabiddokes).
Kabiddokes was accompanied by Head of PR Police Grand Commissioner Edy Sumardi Priadinata, said registration, screening and operations were carried out at the Bhayangkara Hospital Banten, Raya Serang – Pandeglang, Cipare, Serang Kota.
The Head of PR continued that this Humanitarian Social Service was also part of the implementation of the Police for Orphans (which was expanded), which is one of the 12 highliht “12 Commander Wish” of the Banten Police Chief.
Currently, according to Kabiddokes Kita, we are opening up opportunities for people to register their toddlers who need assistance with cleft lip surgery with applicable regulations.
