Tournament Chair Armand Darmadji highlighted on Monday. (28/10/2024) that this year’s event will feature stronger competition, thanks to an increase in tournament level and a larger pool of high-ranked players.
“This tournament offers a higher level of play and prize money, making it even more competitive,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The participating countries include Brunei, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, anmar, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, the United States, Zambia, and host Indonesia, which has entered 71 players.
With a prize pool of USD 100,000 (around Rp 1.5 billion) and BWF ranking points at stake, the tournament awards 5,500 points to winners, 4,680 to runners-up, and 3,850 to semifinalists.
