Bid TIK Polda Kepri – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) affirms their commitment in eradicating online gambling. This was shown by their arrest of thousands of suspects from January to April.
“Since the early 2024 to this day, we have arrested a total 1,158 suspects,” said the Head of INP Public Information Bureau, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko in INP HQ on Thursday (4/25/2024).
He says that the thousands of suspects were arrested from 792 cases.
Moreover, Trunoyudo explains that the law enforcement against online gambling in this year is less than the previous year. Last year, the total suspects arrested reached up to 1,987.
“In 2023, we acted against 1,196 online gambling cases, 404 higher than this year,” report Trunoyudo.
